Multiplex brings together multiple channels of video to create a rhythmic and chaotic explosion of poetic visual images. Shot over the past year in Sydney and Melbourne, this installation incorporates domestic interior views and street perspectives and draws from the tropes of non-narrative experimental film and video art. Tom Carlyon, ‘Clymatron’, has composed music/noise specifically for the exhibition.

Ross Coulter’s visual art practice incorporates video, performance and installation. Since graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts with first class honours in 2007 he has exhibited in Australia and internationally, most recently at AC Institute, New York and The Substation, Newport, as part of the SUB12 exhibition series. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious Georges Mora Fellowship at the State Library of Victoria as well as being engaged by Lucy Guerin Inc as a contemporary dancer for her production ‘Untrained’ which toured both nationally and internationally and featured at the Adelaide Festival and the Asia Pacific Dance Platform in Hong Kong.
